Chatham Comeback Falls Short vs. Bethany; 74-70

Box Score BETHANY, W. VA. – FEBRUARY 6th, 2016 -- The Chatham University Men's Basketball team traveled to Bethany, W. Va. to take on the Bethany College Bison. The Cougars fell to the Bison 74-70. The Cougars are now 4-20 overall and 4-10 PAC.

Three Cougars would score double digits to help Chatham keep up with the Bison. First Year Isaiah Brown (Scott, Ark. / North Pulaski) led the Cougars in scoring with 19 points. Brown also had 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. First Year Alex Schoppen (Gibsonia, Pa. / Central Catholic) played a good game as well finishing with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in a total of 25 minutes before fouling out of the game. Schoppen only would miss two shots, shooting 6-7 FG, 3-4 3FG, and 3-3 FT. First Year Anthony Bomar (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park) would chip in 11 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Cougars were able to rally and come back from a 28 point deficit to end the game down only by 4 points. In the second half, Chatham would outscore Bethany 43-32. They scored 20 points off of the 17 second half Bison turnovers.  

The Cougars are back on the court this Wednesday February 10th when they host the Wolverines from Grove City College. Tipoff is set for 8 pm.
