Cougars Travel to Thiel; Suffer 93-86 Loss

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa - February 3rd, 2016 -- The Chatham University Men's Basketball team traveled to Greenville tonight to take on the Tomcats from Thiel College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game. The Tomcats would defeat the Cougars by a final score of 93-86, giving the Cougars thier 16th overall loss of the season, and 9th loss in the conference.

Chatham would have four players finish the game in double figures. First Year Forward Alex Schoppen (Gibsonia, Pa / Central Catholic) would lead with 22 points, 14 coming in the second half. First Year Guard Anthony Bomar (Bethel Park, Pa / Bethel Park) finished with 18 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals. First Year Guard Isaiah Brown (Scott, Ark.  / North Pulaski) would add in 13 points, and Sophomore Forward Logan Hunter (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) would chip in 12 points.

Chatham would outscore the Tomcats 55-52 in the second half, but they could not overcome the 10 point halftime deficit. Sophomore Leandra Jackson for Thiel would lead all scores with a game high 26 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cougars will travel to Bethany College on Saturday afternoon to take on the Bison in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game that tips off at 4:00 PM.
