Chatham Closes Out Inaugural Season vs. Waynesburg; 68-63

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA. – FEBRUARY 20th, 2016 -- The Chatham University Men's Basketball hosted the Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets this afternoon in a conference match up. The Cougars lost a hard fought battle 68-63. The Men finish up their first season here at Chatham 4-21 overall, 4-14 PAC. The Cougars will continue into the post season with a playoff game at Geneva College this Monday February 22nd.

Two Cougars scored in double figures today. First Year Alex Schoppen led the team in scoring with 13 points. Schoppen also had 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. First Year Isaiah Brown finished the game with 10 points and 5 assists. First Year Anthony Bomar would be a big help to the Cougars finishing with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists.
The game went back and forth this afternoon with the lead changing 7 times. Both teams were playing with a mindset for conference tournament seedings. Chatham was  able to force 17 Yellow Jacket turnovers for 16 points and would play hard until the final buzzer.
