Cougars Skate To Win Over Neumann

Box Score ASTON, PA - FEBRUARY 19th, 2016 -- The Chatham University Women's Ice Hockey team had a big win yesterday as they beat Neumann University in game one of the final two game series of the season. Chatham improved to an overall record of 8-14-1, and are now 4-12-1 in the ECAC-West Conference.

The Cougars jumped on the Knights early in the first period when Junior Forward Erika Martin (Fairbanks, Ala. /Team Alaska) scored a power play goal take the early lead. The knights would respond to make it 1-1 at the end of the first period. The Cougars netted two goals in the second period one from Emma McFarlane (Ottawa, ONT /Perth Predators) and later from Jenny Jones (Kernersville, N.C. / Anaheim Lady Ducks) to close out a 3-1 victory.

Chatham Sophomore Goaltender Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, ONT / Thunder Bay Queens) would face 31 Neumann shots in the game, and save 30 of them.

The Chatham Women's Ice Hockey team will wrap up the season tomorrow at Neumann University game starts at 2 pm.
