Women's Hockey Travels To SUNY Potsdam

Box Score POTSDAM, NY - FEBRUARY 12th, 2016 -- The Chatham University Women's Ice Hockey team traveled to Potsdam, New York this weekend to take on the SUNY Potsdam Bears in a 2 game weekend series. The Cougars dropped the first game of the weekend series by a final score of 3-0. Chatham now falls to 6-14-1 overall, and 2-12-1 in the ECAC-West Conference.

The Cougars could not find a way to score tonight, as the Bears from SUNY Potsdam would score a goal in each of the 3 periods play. Chatham would shoot 28 times tonight, but Senior Goaltender Abby Tardelli would save all 28 shots and record her second career shutout. SUNY Potsdam would jump on the Cougars early in the game scoring their first goal just 4 minutes into the first period. Potsdam would score their second goal of the game just a minute into the second period, and the third and final goal of the game would occur on a power-play just eight minutes into the third period.

Cougars Sophomore Goaltender Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, ONT / Thunder Bay Queens) would face 22 shots on the night, and save 19 of them. Both teams will go at it again tomorrow at 2:00 p.m., in what will be Senior Recognition Day for the Potsdam Bears.
