Cougars fall in first PAC game of the season

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa – NOVEMBER 30th, 2016 – The Chatham women's basketball team fell to Saint Vincent 76-49 in the first conference game of the season.  
 
The Basics
  • Records: Chatham (3-2 overall, 0-1 PAC) Saint Vincent (3-2 overall, 1-0 PAC)
  • Location: Carey Center at Saint Vincent College.
 
Key Players
  • Sophomore guard Natalie Knab (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) led the Cougars in scoring with 15 points.  
  • Junior guard Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) finished the game with 10 points and three steals.
  • Sophomore guard Katelyn Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) totaled nine points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
  • Senior forward Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) and junior forward Eden Bloom (Armagh, Pa./United) each chipped in five rebounds apiece. Hinkle grabbed seven points and three blocks as well.
  • Sophomore guard Lynnae Whitehead (Canfield, Ohio/Canfield ) finished with three assists and three steals.  
 
Inside the numbers
  • The bench added 21 points for the Cougars.
  • Chatham scored 15 points off of 20 forced Bearcat turnovers.

  • Chatham will be back on the court this Saturday when they take on the Westminster Titans in New Wilmington, Pa.

Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five new men's sports in the 2015-2016 academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
