Chatham Suffers Loss at Elmira

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa – NOVEMBER 11th, 2016 – The Chatham Cougars took on Elmira last night for the first game of the weekend series. The Cougars fell 7-1.  
 
The Basics
  • Records: Chatham (0-3-0 ECAC West, 0-3-0 overall) Elmira (3-0-0 ECAC West, 3-0-0 overall)
  • Location: Murray Athletic Center at Elmira College.
 
How it happened
  • Sophomore KJ Frost (Harvard, Mass./Boston Shamrocks) would put the Cougars on the board in the second period on a power play, assisted by junior Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, Minn./Minnesota Blades) and sophomore Kristina Block (Scarborough, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy).
  • Junior Cassidy Colhoun (Kincardine, ONT/Saugeen-Mailland Lightning), Frost, Block, and sophomore Jillian Rowland (St. Louis, Mo./Chicago Fury) would each take two shots a piece.
 
In the goal
  • Junior goaltender Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, ONT/Thunder Bay Queens) started for the Cougars and would play the entire three periods. Isbell recorded 50 saves in 60 minutes.

Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
