Chatham Suffers Tough Loss To Tomcats, 70-68

PITTSBURGH, PA - JANUARY 6TH, 2016 -- The Chatham University Women's Basketball team hosted the Tomcats from Thiel College tonight in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at the Athletics and Fitness Center on Chatham's campus. Tonight was a very close game with the Cougars falling in the last seconds to the Tomcats 70-68.

 

Three Chatham players scored double digits tonight. Senior Guard Rachel McClain led the Cougars in scoring with 18 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals. Junior Forward Jesse Hinkle finished with her fourth double double of the season with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals. Sophomore Guard Megan Sieg scored 11 points, with 6 assists and 4 steals.

 

The Cougars played aggressively forcing 38 turnovers and outscoring the Tomcats in the second half. 

The Chatham University Women's Basketball team will be back in action on Saturday, January 9th, when they host the Golden Tornadoes at 5 pm in the Athletics & Fitness Center.
