Cougars Defeated By Bisons, 62-46

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - JANUARY 2nd, 2016 -- The Chatham University Men's Basketball team hosted the Bison from Bethany College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game this afternoon at the Athletics & Fitness Center on Chatham's campus. This game marked only the second home game of the season for the Cougars. The Cougars were defeated 62-46. Chatham is now 1-10, 1-3 PAC.

Two players scored double figures this afternoon. First Year Forward Alex Schoppen (Gibsonia, Pa. / Pittsburgh Central Catholic HS) finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds. First Year Guard Isaiah Brown (Scott, Ark. / North Pulaski HS) had 12 points. First Year Guard Anthony Bomar (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park HS) had a personal season high of grabbing 11 rebounds.

At half the Cougars were down 13 and managed to cut the lead to 9 points, however the veteran experience of Bethany was too much for the Cougars. The Bison would outrebound the Cougars 55-44, and would outscore the Cougars 28-25 in the final 20 minutes.

The Cougars will return to the floor on Wednesday, January 6th, when they host the Tomcats from Thiel in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at 8 pm in the Athletics & Fitness Center.
