Cougars Edge Out Wolverines; 69-66

Box Score GROVE CITY, PA – JANUARY 13th, 2016 -- The Chatham University Men's Basketball team traveled to Grove City, Pa. to take on the Grove City College Wolverines. The Cougars beat the Wolverines 69-66. Chatham is now 3-11, 3-4 PAC.  

Four Chatham players finished the game with double figures. First Year Nasir Alexander led the Cougars in scoring with 15 points, bringing in 5 steals and 3 assists as well. First Year Alex Schoppen and First Year Josh Randall both chipped in 14 points tonight. Randall was an impact player tonight, going 5-5 from the field and 1-1 from beyond the arc, with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals. First Year Isaiah Brown scored 11 points with 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

Chatham was able to edge out the Wolverines in the last minutes of the game. The Cougars recovered from a 13 point deficit in the first half, closing the gap to only 4 points. Chatham fought hard and refused to give up. Down 38-34 at halftime, the Cougars came back to outscore Grove City 35-28 in the second half. Chatham forced 21 Wolverine turnovers to score 23 points.

The Chatham University Men's Basketball team will be back on the court January 16th when they travel to Waynesburg, Pa. to take on the Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets. Tipoff is set for 3:30 pm.
