Cougars Defeated In 3 Sets By Yellow Jackets

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA- SEPTEMBER 29, 2015- The Chatham University Women's Volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-11) to PAC opponent Waynesburg University on Tuesday night.

The Cougars dropped to 1-14 overall, and 0-7 in the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) while the Yellow Jackets improved to 2-14 overall, and 2-6 in the conference.

First Year Right Side Hitter Katelyn Gonos (Kent, OH/Theodore Roosevelt) led the Cougars with 6 kills, 3 service aces, and a solo block. Fellow First Year Outside Hitter Maggie Fleiner (McKees Rocks, PA/Montour) contributed on offense with 5 kills of her own and 3 service aces. First Year Setter Emily Brozenick (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) dished out an impressive 20 assists on the night, providing great opportunities for her teammates to attack.

Chatham will travel to St. Vincent College on Thursday where they will compete in a tri-match with the Bearcats and Titants from Westminster College. The Cougars will play St. Vincent at 4 p.m., and the Titans at 6 p.m.
