Chatham Falls In Three Sets To Penn State Altoona

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - SEPTEMBER 21, 2015- The Chatham University Women's Volleyball Team suffered a three set defeat (12-25, 12-25, 19-25) to the Penn State Altoona Lions in a non-conference match on Monday night.

First Year outside hitter Maggie Fleiner (McKees Rocks, PA/Montour) led the Cougars on offense recording 5 kills. Senior outside hitter Heathir McIntyre (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) contributed to the Cougars offense this evening with 4 kills of her own, and a service ace. The Cougars offensive scoring came mostly from first year Emily Brozenick (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) setting up her teammates, and recording 12 assists for the match. On the defensive side of the ball, the Cougars were led by First Year defensive specialist Abbey Little (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock). Little dug out 12 of the Lions attacks, and would also add a service ace.

The Cougars will be back in action Thursday, September 24, taking on the Thiel Tomcats at 7:00 PM in the Cougar Den.
