Cougars Lose Two Matches Against La Roche and Westminster

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PITTSBURGH, PA - SEPTEMBER 15, 2015 - The Cougars Women's Volleyball team dropped two matches today against La Roche College and Westminster College, moving to 1-9 on the season and 0-3 in the PAC.

The Cougars lost to La Roche College 8-25, 9-25, 22-25 and played their hearts out in the final set. In the next match, the Cougars faced Westminster College and lost each set 23-25, 5-25, 10-25. Senior Heathir McIntyre (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run High School) finished both matches with a combind 6 Kills and 28 Digs. First Years Maggie Fleiner (McKees Rocks, PA/Montour High School) and Katelyn Gonos (Kent, OH/Theodore Roosevelt High School) played aggressive at the net though each match, Fleiner finishing with a combined 6 Kills and Gonos with 8 Kills. Other notable performances include Abby Little (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock Area High School), who finished with 48 Digs through two matches.

The Cougars face off against Washington and Jefferson College and Geneva College in a double-header this upcoming Thursday, September 17th in Washington, PA.
