Cougars Win 2-1 Over La Roche, Improve to 4-0

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - SEPTEMBER 15, 2015 - The Cougars Women's Soccer team traveled to La Roche College today to defend their unbeaten record, winning 2-1 and improving to 4-0 on the season. This undefeated record marks the first time in eight years that the women's soccer team has had such a strong start.

The Cougars 2-1 victory today was followed by much excitement and enthusiasm as the women's soccer team improved to 4-0 to start off the 2015-2016 season. Sophomore Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, PA/Serra Catholic High School) played an all-out aggressive game against La Roche, finishing with one goal and one assist, helping to seal the win for the Cougars. Sieg assisted on First Year Anne Radzanowski's (Pittsburgh, PA/Chartiers Valley High School) goal at 38:16 and scored a breakaway goal of her own later in the contest. Sieg's goal game at a critical time, and would end up being the go ahead goal to solidify the win for the Cougars. First Year Goalkeeper Emmory Tardivo (Isabella, PA/Brownsville Area High School) finished the game with 5 saves.

Chatham's 4-0 start this season marks the best start for Head Coach Betsy Warren's tenure with the Cougars, as well as the best start in eight years for the women's soccer team. 

The Cougars will welcome the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg Bobcats this upcoming Saturday, September 19th at 2 P.M. at Varsity Field.
