Box Score Pittsburgh, Pa – (2/14/2015) – The Chatham University hockey team skated to their second win in as many games against SUNY Potsdam today. Chatham would overpower the visiting Bears 3-1 in regulation time, with two goals coming from the surging Cougar power play units. The Cougars are 6-3-1 at home this season.
After the Bears went up 1-0 early in the first period, first year forward
Cassidy Colhoun (Kincordine, ON) scored on the first of three Chatham power plays (12:28). Sophomore forward
Jenny Jones (Kernersville, NC) and first year defender
Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, MN) would assist. Jones has 7 assists on the season.
Chatham then took the lead early in the second period and never looked back. First year forward
Marissa Janiga (East Aurora, NY) found the net at (02:48) assisted by sophomore defender
Kaitlyn Perrins (Calgary, Alberta) and senior defender
Brittany Yoisten (Coldwater, ON).
Chatham's second power play goal came at (13:06) from sophomore forward
McKenzie Haskins (Anchorage, AK), Jones and Colhoun assisted on the goal. Haskins has four goals on the season.
Chatham took 20 shots on goal today, with Haskins and junior forward
Katrina Hawkins (Powell River, BC) leading the team with 3. Jones was again impressive on face-offs, going 10 for 17. First year forward
Haley Porterfield (Allegany, NY) helped the team winning 6 of her 11 face-offs.

Megan Buchanan (Stittsville, ON) was again stellar against the Bears, stopping 25 of 26 shots. The Cougars power play units continued their stout performance of late, going 2 for 3 on 3.
Chatham will face ECAC –WEST opponent Neumann University at home on Friday February 20, 2015 for an 8:00 p.m. puck drop.
