Cougars Lose to William Smith 3-0

Box Score Geneva, N.Y. - DECEMBER 5, 2015 -- Chatham (2-5-0, 0-5-0 ECAC West) took the ice in Geneva, NY looking for its first ECAC West win tonight, but fell to the home William Smith Herons (3-4-2, 1-4-2 ECAC West) by a score of 3-0.
 
For the third time in five ECAC West contests, Chatham was unable to find the back of the net, while the Herons managed to do so one time each period.
 
After a tough time offensively in the first period and a half, Chatham pressured the William Smith zone in the second half of the second period very well, but to no avail.
 
Sophomore goaltender Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, Minn.) continued to play well in net stopping 29 of 32 shots faced in her fourth start of the season.
 
Chatham will now look to bounce back and earn its first ECAC West win of the season tomorrow afternoon at 4 pm when it rounds out its season series against William Smith.
