Chatham Falls To W&J, 90-72

Box Score WASHINGTON, Pa – DECEMBER 5, 2015 -- The Chatham University Women's Basketball team traveled to Washington, Pa. this afternoon to take on the Washington and Jefferson College Presidents in their second PAC game of the season. The Cougars were defeated by the Presidents 90-72 and are now 4-2, 1-1 PAC.

Junior Forward Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa. / Thomas Jefferson HS) led the Cougars this afternoon scoring 13 points, with 11 rebounds and 1 steal. This is her second double-double of the season.

Three Cougars would finish the game scoring 9 points. First Year Guard Katelyn Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Serra Catholic HS) had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. First Year Point Guard Ashley McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa. / Hollidaysburg Area Senior HS) earned 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 2 steals. Junior Guard Dana Eastman (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional HS) scored all 9 of her points in the 2nd half from beyond the arc, shooting 3-4.

The Cougars fought hard forcing 13 President turnovers and holding Washington and Jefferson to shoot only 26% outside the three-point line. Chatham was able to tie the Presidents early in the first half, but by halftime they were down 40-30. 

The Chatham University Women's Basketball team will return to action on Saturday, December 12th, when they travel to Latrobe, Pa. to take on the Saint Vincent Bearcats at 4 pm.
