McClain Leads Chatham Past Franciscan, 77-51

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - DECEMBER 31st, 2015 -- The Chatham University Women's Basketball team hosted the Barons from Franciscan University this afternoon in a non-conference game to close out the 2015 year. The Cougars defeated the Barons 77-51. Chatham is now 5-5, 1-2 PAC. 

The Cougars were led by Senior Rachel McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa / Hollidaysburg) with 21 points. Two other Cougars also scored double figures this afternoon, Junior Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa / Thomas Jefferson) finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds, and Sophomore Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa / Serra Catholic) finished with 14 points and 4 steals.

The Cougars forced the Barons to 28 turnovers for the game, and would score 26 points off of them. The Barons shot 2-11 from beyond the arc, and 36% for the game. The Barons would only score 26 second half points. 

The Chatham University Women's Basketball team will be back on the court this Saturday, January 2nd at 1 pm when they host conference opponent Bethany College.
