Cougars Suffer 76-65 Loss To Bullets

Box Score FREDERICK, MARYLAND - DECEMBER 20th, 2015 -- The Chatham University Men's Basketball team suffered a nine point loss to the Bullets fromt Gettysburg College in the consolation game of the Rotary of Frederick Holiday Classic hosted by Hood College on Sunday afternoon.

The Cougars were down 18 points after the first twenty minutes, but managed to cut the deficit to just six points with under a minute remaining in the game. The Cougars were led by First Year Forward Xavier Browne (San Diego, Calif. / Kearny) who finished the game with 14 points on 7-8 shooting, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks in just 16 minutes of action. Sophomore Logan Hunter (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) was selected to the All-Tournament team for his overall great play in both games. The Cougars held the Bullets to just 35 second half points, and managed to force 17 turnovers in the game.

The Chatham University Men's Basketball team will go into winter break with an overall record of 1-9, (1-2 PAC). The Cougars will return home on Saturday, January 2nd after playing the previous 8 games on the road. Chatham will host the Bison from Bethany College at 3:00 p.m., in the Athletics & Fitness Center.
