Cougars Top Pitt-Greensburg; 3rd Win In A Row

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa - NOVEMBER 24, 2015 -- The Chatham University Women's Basketball team traveled to Greensburg tonight to take on the Bobcats from the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg in a non-conference game. The Cougars found themselves only up 1 at halftime, but would hold the Bobcats to only 31 2nd half points, and would find their way to victory by a final score of 77-64.

The win improves the Cougars to now 3-1 on the year, and drops the Bobcats to 0-4. Junior Forward Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa / Thomas Jefferson) scored a game high 22 points. Hinkle would finish the game with also 13 rebounds, and would give her the first double-double on the season for the Cougars. 

Three other Cougars would also finish the game in double digits; Sophomore Guard Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa / Serra Catholic) finished with 14 points, First Year Guard Katelyn Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa / Serra Catholic) finished with 12 points, and Senior Rachel McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa / Hollidaysburg) would add in 10 more. 

On the defensive end of the floor, the Cougars would force 24 Bobcats turnovers, and Junior Nikki Ingel (Irwin, Pa / Norwin) would finish the game with 4 steals. The Cougars would force the Bobcats to shoot only 15% from beyond the arc.

This 3-1 start for Head Coach Sandy Rectenwald and her Cougars is their best start in the last four seasons. The Chatham University Women's Basketball team will return to action on Wednesday, December 2nd, when they open Presidents' Athletic Conference play against the Titans from Westminster College.
