Men's Basketball Travels to Hilbert

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - NOVEMBER 20, 2015 - The Chatham University Men's Basketball team traveled to Hamburg, New York Friday to compete in the Hilbert College Basketball Tournament. The three other teams participating in the tournament this weekend are Utica College, RPI, and host Hilbert. The Cougars took on the Hawks from Hilbert on Friday night, and lost 98-67.

The Cougars were led on offense by First Year Guard Anthony Bomar (Bethel Park, Pa / Bethel Park) who finished the game with 14 points and 4 assists. On the night, two other Cougars finished in double figures, First Year Guard Nasir Alexander (Kissimmee, Fla. / Osceola) scored 11 points, and First Year Forward Alex Schoppen (Gibsonia, Pa. / Central Catholic) chipped in 10 points.

Hilbert finished the game shooting 57% from the floor, and 47% from beyond the arc. The Cougars, found themselves down 41-25 at the half, but lifted themselves to score 42 second half points.

The Cougars will return to action today at 1:00 p.m. in the Hilbert Hawks Basketball Tournament Consolation game. Chatham will play the Pioneers from Utica College, looking to earn thier first win on the season.
