Cougars Fall In Season Opener 101-65

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. - NOVEMBER 17, 2015 -- The Chatham University Women's basketball team opened up the 2015-16 season with a 101-65 loss against the Allegheny College Gators.

Senior Rachel McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa. / Hollidaysburg HS) led the Cougars with 18 points, 1 assist and 1 steal. First Year Katelyn Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Serra Catholic High School) posted 11 points and First Year Ashley McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa. / Hollidaysburg HS) added 10 in their collegiate debutes. Sophomore Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Serra Catholic High School) led the team in assists with 11. First Year Maggie Soeder (Shaler, Pa. / Shaler High School) had 8 rebounds for the night, while Junior Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa. / Thomas Jefferson High School) had 6. 

The Cougars are back in action this Thursday as they travel to Penn State Altoona for a 6 pm game against the Lions. The Cougars will return home this Saturday, November 21st to take on the Hawks from Hilbert College at 2:00 p.m., in the Athletics & Fitness Center.
