Women's Soccer Beats Bethany 4-2, Breaks Multiple Records

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 7, 2015 - The Chatham Women's Soccer team played with a newfound physicality today, competing against the PAC's Bethany College Bison in an exciting 4-2 victory. The Cougars broke multiple team records today including most wins in a season, first PAC conference win since 2010, and their first win ever against the Bison. Sophomore Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, PA/Serra Catholic High School) played with speed and aggression, scoring two goals today and securing the win for the Cougars.

The Cougars Women's Soccer team won their first PAC victory since 2010 today against the Bethany College Bison from West Virginia. This is the Cougars first win against Bethany College in team history. Outside Midfielder Megan Sieg scored two Goals off of two Penalty Kicks, netting her 7th and 8th Goals of the season. First Years Cassandra Small (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon High School) and Kassianna Politis (McMurray, PA/Peters Township High School) scored a goal each in the Cougars win. Chatham was forced to play highly physical against the Bison, pushing deeper into Bethany's zone and sending a barrage of shots on goal; the Cougars outshot the Bison 23-12.

Head Coach Betsy Warren and the Chatham Cougars are now 7-2 on the season, breaking the team record for most wins in a season. The Cougars are more than halfway through the 2015-2016 season and hope to stay on this successful path through out the last 7 games.

The Cougars have a long trip ahead of them as they face off against Thomas More College in Kentucky this upcoming Sunday (October 11th).
