Cougars Fall to Grove City, Close Out Season

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 31, 2015 - The Cougars Women's Soccer team dropped their final match of season today, losing 0-4 to the Grove City College Wolverines. The Cougars finished the 2015-2016 season with an 8-8 record, the best all-time record in Chatham University history.

The Cougars Women's Soccer team concluded the 2015-2016 season today, falling 0-4 to Grove City College. Chatham fought hard, but it wasn't enough in the end. The Cougars were outshot by Grove City, 23-8, as the Wolverines shot and scored most of their goals in the 2nd half. Goalkeeper Emmory Tardivo (Isabella, PA/Brownsville Area High School) finished the game with 8 Saves, four in each half. The Cougars struggled offensively, being pressured consistently by the Wolverines solid defense.

Looking towards next season, Head Coach Betsy Warren and the Cougars coaching staff has created a solid core group for the next few seasons. First Year players such as Julie Bruening (Madison, OH/Madison High School) and Kassianna Politis (McMurray, PA/Peters Township High School) competed and played well all season long. The Cougars lose Seniors Sarah Jugovic (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin High School) and Auralia Henderson (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra Area High School), who both competed well during their time at Chatham.

Finishing the season with an 8-8 record, Head Coach Betsy Warren's Cougars finish with the all-time best record in Chatham University history.
