Cougars Travel to Franciscan

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 3, 2015 - The Chatham University (1-17, 0-9) Women's Volleyball team traveled to Franciscan University (7-12) on Saturday to compete in a non-conference match against the Barons.

It was Homecoming day at Franciscan University and the Barons would defeat the Cougars in 3 consecutive sets by scores of; 25-4, 25-12, and 25-15. First Year Right Side Hitter Katelyn Gonos (Kent, OH/Theodore Roosevelt) led the Cougars on the day with 9 kills. Senior Outside Hitter Heathir McIntyre (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) contributed with her solid play on both sides of the net with 5 kills, and 8 digs. First Year Setter Emily Brozenick (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) finished the match with 16 assists.

Chatham is back in action on Tuesday, October 6, when they host a non-conference match against the Celtics from Carlow University at 7:00 p.m., in the Athletic & Fitness Center.
