Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 28th, 2015 - The Chatham University Women's Soccer team fell 2-0 to Saint Vincent College in Presidents' Athletic Conference play Wednesday afternoon.
The Cougars (8-7, 2-6) found themselves in a tight game early, as neither team could gain an advantage in the first half. Saint Vincent (8-9, 4-4) broke the tie with the first score of the game at the 59th minute by a goal from Sophomore Forward Maggie Nelson (Jefferson, MD/St. John's Catholic Prep). The Bearcats would secure the victory with a late goal at the 88th minute from First Year Midfielder Leah Scott (Jefferson Hills, PA/Thomas Jefferson).
The Cougars battled through the rainy conditions throughout the entire game, and even out shot the host Bearcats 17-9. Junior Goalkeeper Meghan Lyden (Concord, OH/Riverside) for Saint Vincent recorded a shutout in her first start in goal this season.
