Cougars Lose First Home Game to Westminster, 2-0

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 21, 2015 - The Cougars lost their first home game of the season today in a 2-0 loss to the Westminster College Titans at Varsity Field. Goalkeeper Emmory Tardivo (Isabella, PA/Brownsville Area High School) played a solid game in net, facing 24 Shots and finshing with 16 Saves.

Chatham (8-5, 2-4) faced off against the Westminster College Titans (11-1-2, 4-1-1) today, losing in a shut out, 2-0. This loss to the Titans marks the Cougars first home loss of the season, dropping Chatham's record to 7-1 at home. Westminster played physically and applied pressure offensively early on in the first half. Goalkeeper Emmory Tardivo made some crucial saves throughout the game, including some diving stops early. Tardivo's solid play in net helped keep the Cougars in the game.

The Cougars struggled offensively, putting up only 3 shots on Goal against the Titans defense. Sophomore Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, PA/Serra Catholic High School) played aggressively, matching the Titans physicality on each end of the field. The Cougars aim to finish the season strong as they enter the final three games of the year.

The Cougars will host the Yellow Jackets from Waynesburg University this upcoming Saturday, October 24th, on Varsity Field at 2:00 p.m.
