Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 19, 2015 - The Chatham University Women's Volleyball team traveled to the University of Pittsburgh - Greensburg tonight to take on the Bobcats in a non-conference match. The Bobcats defeated the Cougars in 3 straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-14, and 25-13, giving the Bobcats their first victory of the season.
First Year Outside Hitter Maggie Fleiner (McKees Rocks, PA/Montour) led the Cougars on offense tonight with 8 kills and 1 service ace. Fleiner received help on the offensive side of the net by Senior Outside Hitter Heathir McIntyre (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) and Sophomore Middle Hitter Rachel Kolar (Pittsburgh, PA/West Mifflin) each adding 7 kills for the match. First Year Setter Emily Brozenick (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) had a double digit night, finishing with 24 assists. On the defensive side of the net, the Cougars were led by First Year Defensive Specialist Abbey Little (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) who dug out 8 of the Bobcat attacks.
The Cougars will return to the court on Wednesday, as they travel north to Grove City College to take on the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m.
