Cougars Lose Both In Tri-Match

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 11, 2015 - The Chatham University Women's Volleyball team lost both matches in the St. Vincent tri-match on Saturday.

The Cougars (1-22, 0-13) lost their first match to the Bison from Bethany (19-7, 9-2) in 3 sets by scores of 25-9, 25-16 and 25-12, and then lost their second match of the day to the host Bearcats from St. Vincent College (9-13, 4-7) also in 3 sets by scores of 25-15, 25-8, and 26-24.

In the first match versus the Bison, the Cougars were led on offense by Sophomore Middle Hitter Rachel Kolar (Pittsburgh, PA/West Mifflin) with 6 kills. First Year Setter Emily Brozenick (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) continued her stellar play on the offensive end of the ball totaling 14 assists. First Year Defensive Specialist Abbey Little (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) finished the match with 12 digs.

In the second match versus the Bearcats, the Cougars were led on offense by First Year Right Side Hitter Katelyn Gonos (Kent, OH/Theodore Roosevelt) with 7 kills. Senior Outside Hitter Heathir McIntyre (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) filled up the stat sheet finishing with 5 kills, 1 service ace, and 6 digs. First Year Setter Emily Brozenick picked up where she left off from the first match finishing with 3 kills, 17 assists, and 8 digs.

Chatham will travel to Thiel College on Tuesday with a start time of 7 p.m.
