Cougars not enough against Saint Vincent

Box Score Latrobe, Pa. – (1/28/2015) – The Chatham University basketball team played hard this evening, doubling their first half production, but lost 84-59 to Saint Vincent College. The Cougars finished with a strong performance, giving them a 5-13 record on the season, with a mark of 2-9 against PAC opponents.
 
Four Cougars finished with double-digit points against the Bearcats. Junior guard Rachel McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) led all scorers with 14 points. First year guard Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded 13 points for Chatham, while sophomore guard Nikki Ingel (Irwin, Pa.) and sophomore guard Dana Eastman (Murrysville, Pa) helped the team earning 11 points each.
 
Sophomore guard Jessica Manfredi (Jefferson Hills, Pa) had five rebounds, two assists and two steals, while sophomore forward Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa) earned a team high eight rebounds, as well as one assist and one steal.
 
Tonight, the Cougars recorded 13 points from the bench, nabbed 5 points off Saint Vincent turnovers and earned 28 points in the paint. Chatham also scored six fast break points.
 
Chatham will continue PAC conference play on the road against Washington & Jefferson College, Saturday January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
