Cougars Stumble at Westminster

Box Score New Wilmington, PA – (1/24/2015) – The Chatham University basketball team traveled to Westminster College in continued PAC conference play. The Cougars would lose the contest 44-58, giving them a 5-12 record on the season.

Chatham went up 18-10 with 9:02 remaining in the first half, but Westminster would battle back to take a 3-point lead at half at 27-24.

First year guard Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, PA) paced the Cougars with 15 points and six rebounds, while sophomore guard Nikki Ingel (Irwin, PA) chipped in with 10 points. Sophomore guard Jessica Manfredi (Jefferson Hills, PA) also nailed three 3-pointers to contribute with nine points.

Westminster started the second half with an 8-0 run. Chatham would cut the lead to six points with under two minutes to play in the game, but the Titans closed out the game at the free throw line.

Chatham will travel to PAC rival Saint Vincent on Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 p.m.
