Box Score Pittsburgh, PA (9/18/2014) – On a sun drenched evening at Varsity Field
, the Chatham University soccer team took on Mount Aloysius in a thrilling 3-2 overtime loss.
Senior goalkeeper
Liz Sawyer (Saco, Me.) made five saves on eight shots during the 93+ minute match. From the start of the game, Chatham played an aggressive and highly physical contest. First year midfielder
Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa.) struck first for Chatham, sending a shot past the Mountie goalkeeper (14:30). Assisting on the goal was senior midfielder
Sarah Ellis (Lawrence, Pa.).
Sieg finished the game with three shots on goal, finding the back of the net again in the 78th minute, assisted this time by first year midfielder/forward
Amber DeCarlo (Elizabeth, Pa.). Sophomore forward
Skylar Benjamin (Strongsville, Oh.) ended the game with three shots and numerous pushes into the Mount Aloysius defense.
At the 83:58 mark, the Mounties would tie the game, eventually ending the match at the three minute mark of extra time.

Betsy Warren was extremely proud of her team's play, "They really battled out there today, our team played an opponent who was 5-1 into overtime. This game was not a fluke."

Chatham will host SUNY Canton Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
