Cougars Drop Two At Home

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Pittsburgh, Pa. (9/17/14) – The Cougar volleyball team hosted two PAC opponents Wednesday night in their only home tri-match of the season.
 
In the opening match Chatham hosted Waynesburg University, falling 3-0 after dropping the first two sets. The Cougars fought hard in the third set, falling in a closely contested match 25-22.
 
Leading the offensive attack was sophomore outside hitter, Heathir McIntyre registering five kills along with eight digs. First year defensive specialist, McKenna Gamble assisted McIntyre's efforts with seven assists.
 
The Cougars showed promising defense with 36 digs and all seven players that saw the court contributed in this category.
 
In the Cougars second match of the evening they hosted Westminster College, dropping the contest 0-3.
 
McIntyre picked up where she left off in the first match with three kills and seven digs. Also making an impact was senior middle hitter, Aminata Dieng with eight digs, two kills and one solo block. Also chipping in was first year Iman Morgan, accounting for two kills, two digs, and two solo blocks.
 
The Cougars are set to host La Roche on September 23 at 7:00 p.m.
