Box Score Pittsburgh, Pa..  (9/15/14) – The Chatham University volleyball team played their closest match, nearly beating Penn State – Greater Allegheny on Monday night. The Cougars battled the Lions in three close sets falling 25-20, 25-19, 25-21.
 
Junior Jessica "Hunter" Milroy (Doylestown, Pa.) and sophomore Heathir McIntyre (Ashburn, Va.) anchored the defense by collecting 17 digs each. McIntyre also lead the Cougars offensive charge with earning five kills.
 
First year, outside hitter McKenna Gamble (Pittsburgh, Pa.) supported the Cougar attack with a game high 10 assists.
 
The Cougar's serving generated offense throughout the night as Milroy, first year Iman Morgan (Sharon, Pa.), and first year Ava Iulluci (Washington, Pa.) all recorded two aces apiece.  
 
All three sets were very close and highly competitive.
 
The women's volleyball team will host Waynesburg University on  September 17 at 4:00 p.m. and Westminster College at 8:00 p.m.
