Volleyball team surges before falling to Thomas More

Box Score Bethany, WV.  (9/13/14) – The Chatham University volleyball team gained ground in the second set before falling to Thomas More College 25-3, 25-11, 25-6.
 
Sophomore Heathir McIntyre (Ashburn, Va.) earned 3 kills, while senior Aminata Dieng (Dakar, Senegal) and senior Brittany DeMeno each had 1.
 
FIrst year McKenna Gamble again led the team with 4 assists. McIntyre also collected 1 assist.
 
Chatham showed great energy on the court, which was on display when it came to digs. McIntyre (Ashburn, Va.) led the team with 11, and  Gamble (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded 5. Four Cougars earned 2 digs, Dieng, sophomore Joelle Notkin (Pittsburgh, Pa.), DeMeno and first year Iman Morgan (Sharon, Pa.). Freshman Ava Iulluci (Washington, Pa.) and senior Margery Deane (Dover, De.) each recorded 1.
 
The women's volleyball team is set to host Penn State- Greater Allegheny on September 15 at 7:00 p.m.

Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers eight Division III women's sports and six men's sports. Chatham will add six new men's sports in the 2015-2016 academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field, and volleyball.
