Box Score Pittsburgh, Pa. – (12/6/2014) – The Chatham University basketball team hosted Washington and Jefferson College this afternoon in a PAC conference matchup. The Cougars fought hard by outscoring the Presidents
in the second half, but ultimately lost the contest 48-70.
First year guard
Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa.) led the charge against W&J with 13 points and two steals. Junior guard
Rachel McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) helped the team with nine points, two assists and one steal.
Sophomore guard
Jessica Manfredi (Jefferson Hills, Pa.) aided the Cougar attack with six points, two rebounds and four steals. Junior guard
Anna Shashura (Deemston, Pa.) chipped in with nine points and four rebounds. Sophomore forward
Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa.) led all Cougars with five rebounds on the day. Manfredi leads the team with 18 assists, while junior forward
Chelsea Kovalcsik (Berea, Oh.) added to her team high 17 steals by getting two more today.
The Cougars recorded 17 points off the bench, nabbed 17 points off Washington and Jefferson turnovers and earned 14 points in the paint.
The loss drops the Cougars record to
3-5 record on the season, with a 1-2 record in the PAC. Chatham will visit Mount Aloysius College in non-conference play on Monday December 15, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
