Pittsburgh, Pa. – (12/1/2014) – The Chatham University basketball team played its first conference game when they hosted the Bearcats of Saint Vincent College. The Cougars fell to 2-4 with the 90-55 loss.
Leading all Cougars this evening was junior guard
Rachel McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) who scored a team high 15 points and netted two rebounds and two steals. Sophomore guard
Nikki Ingel (Irwin, Pa) and first year guard
Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa.) each chipped in with 10 points apiece.
Senior guard
Becky Rowe (Beaver Falls, Pa.) gave the Cougars a boost with five points, and a team high 11 rebounds.
The Cougars battled back in the second half, with the Chatham bench providing 18 points against the Bearcats. Chatham also nabbed 9 points off Saint Vincent turnovers and 22 points in the paint.
Chatham will host PAC rival Westminster College Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
