Chatham Faces Hiram in First Road Test

Box Score HIRAM, OH – (11/16/2014) – The Chatham University basketball team traveled to Hiram College on Saturday to face the Terriers in a non-conference game. The Cougars dropped the contest 77-57, suffering their first loss of the season. 
 
First year guard Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa.) lead the Cougar charge with 13 points and two rebounds, shooting 6-8 from the field on the day. Chatham also got a boost from junior guard Rachel McClain (Holidaysburg, PA), who connected on two 3-pointers and finshed with 11 points overall.  

Sophomore forward Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa.) recorded her first double-digit point effort of the year with 10 points and four rebounds, while senior guard Becky Rowe (Beaver Falls, Pa.) chipped in with nine points..
 
After facing a fourteen point deficit at the half, the Cougars would battle back to cut the lead to as few as nine in the second half. Chatham shot 52 percent from the field during the second half, but could not overcome the Terriers on the glass, getting outrebounded 25-46 for the game.
 
Chatham will be back in action when they visit Franciscan University on Wednesday, November 19th at 6:00 p.m.
