Chatham Volleyball Host Bethany

Box Score Pittsburgh, Pa..  (10/14/14) – The Chatham University volleyball team continued to show improvement tonight in loss to Bethany College. The Cougars again ended with a scoring surge in the third set before falling to the Bison.
 
Sophomore outside hitter Heathir McIntyre (Ashburn, Va.) led the team with four kills tonight. Senior middle hitter Aminata Dieng (Dakar, Senegal) and junior libero Jessica "Hunter" Milroy each pulled down one kill a piece against Bethany.
 
First year setter McKenna Gamble ( Pittsburgh, Pa.) worked hard again, leading all Cougars with six assists, while McIntyre accounted for one. Seven Cougars tallied digs against the Bison this evening, with McIntyre accounting for 10. Gamble and first year middle hitter Iman Morgan (Sharon, Pa.) both earning five, while Milroy recorded four against Bethany. First year right side hitter Ava Iuliucci (Washington, Pa.) netted two this evening, Dieng and senior defensive specialist Margery Deane (Dover, De.) both grabbed one.
 
The women's volleyball team will next visit Washington and Jefferson College on Thursday October 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers eight Division III women's sports and six men's sports. Chatham will add six new men's sports in the 2015-2016 academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field, and volleyball.
