Chatham Ice Hockey Falls to SUNY Potsdam 2-0

Box Score POTSDAM, NY – The Chatham University ice hockey team fell 2-0 to ECAC-West foe SUNY Potsdam on Friday.  The Cougars fall to 3-11-2 overall and 2-7-0 in conference play.  Potsdam moves to 8-6-3 overall and 4-3-3 in the ECAC-West.
 
Amanda Lucky got the Bears on the board early, scoring just 41 seconds into the game.  That 1-0 deficit held after one period, but Potsdam again struck early in the second period.  Jessica Silveira found the back of the net 39 seconds into the period to make it 2-0.
 
Chatham recorded 17 shots for the game.  Morgan Becer, Erika Bronk, Erika Martin, Casey Morfeld, and Marie Soukup each tallied two shots.  In net, Megan Buchanan faced 36 shots, making 34 saves.
 
Neither team scored on their power play, as Chatham went 0-3 and Potsdam went 0-1.
 
These two teams face off again tomorrow at 1:00pm.
