Sophomore forward Emily Schmidt (Eighty Four, PA/Ringgold) nearly had a double-double of her own, recording a team-high 15 points and grabbing nine rebounds. W&J got off to a hot start, taking an 11-0 lead four minutes into the game. The Chatham offense settled into the game, though, and cut the deficit to 15-7 following two Rachel McClain (Fy., Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) free throws. The Presidents responded with a 17-4 run to take a 32-11 advantage with five and a half minutes remaining in the first half, and took a 35-18 lead into halftime.

Much like the first half, W&J opened the second half with a scoring spurt. A 13-4 run gave W&J a 48-22 lead six minutes into the period. That lead ballooned to 32 points with 11 minutes to play before Chatham went on a 7-0 run to bring it back within 25.

Neither team shot well from beyond the arc, shooting a combined 3-22. Becky Rowe (So., Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) drained the Cougars' only two triples. It was a different story from the free throw line, though, where W&J shot 14-18 (77.8%) and Chatham connected on 13 of 14 attempts (92.9%).

Chatham will play their final home game of the 2012-2013 season on Wednesday, February 13, when they host PAC foe Thiel College at 7:00pm.
