Box Score FOX CHAPEL, PA – Elmira College scored six goals in the third period, leading to a 10-0 win over Chatham University on Sunday. Chatham falls to 2-6-2 overall and 2-4-0 in ECAC-West play. Elmira moves to 8-2-1 overall and 6-0-0 in the ECAC-West.
Casey Morfeld led the Cougars with five shots, while
Brianna Rice tallied three.
Maike Blakely and
Erika Bronk each had two shots. The Cougars recorded 20 shots in the game, while Elmira registered 42.
Tara Treloar made the start in net, saving 28 shots and allowing seven goals.
Kaitlynn Smith made four saves and allowed three goals after relieving Treloar in the third period.
Johanna Eidensten recorded a hat trick for Elmira with three goals. She also had one assist. Ella Stewart had two goals, and Olivia Nystrom recorded one goal and three assists.
Chatham is off until January 7, 2014, when they travel to Adrian College for a single game. Game time is set for 7:00pm.
