Chatham Falls to Utica, 5-0

Box Score UTICA, NY- Chatham goaltender Megan Buchanan's (So., Ottawa, ONT/Rideau St. Lawrence) 48 saves on 53 shots were not enough to gain the Chatham University Ice Hockey team (1-14-0, 0-11-0 ECAC-West) a win against Utica College (9-6-1, 7-3-1 ECAC-West) on Friday night. The Pioneers outshot the Cougars 53-13 to secure a 5-0 victory. 

For the Cougars, Morgan Becer (Jr., Ligonier, PA/Team Pittsburgh) led the offense with four shots. Katrina Hawkins (Fy., Powell River, BC/North Island Extreme) and Maike Blakely (Jr., Kearney, NE/Williston Northampton School) followed with three shots each. 

Vanessa Maines, Caitlyn Moccaldi, Meghan McMahon, and Kelsey Dowdall all scored goals for the Pioneers. 

The Cougars face off against the Pioneers in a rematch Saturday, January 26. The Cougars will take the ice at 4:00 pm.
