Chatham Falls to Cortland 6-0

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Chatham University Ice Hockey team fell to 3-13-0 on regular season (0-9-0 ECAC-West) with a 6-0 loss to visiting SUNY Cortland on Saturday. The Red Dragons improve to 3-11-1 overall and 3-6-0 in ECAC-West play.

Cortland scored two goals in each period and amassed a total of 35 shots. Laura Drew was the only Red Dragon player to score twice, while Katie Gili, Maggie Giamo, Abbie Adams, Gina Tomei, and Chelsie Hausberger each recorded two points.

For the Cougars, Morgan Becer (Jr., Ligonier, PA/Team Pittsburgh) led the offense with six shots. Nicole Beaudoin (Fy., Essex, VT/Vermont Shamrocks), Erika Bronk (Fy., Fairport, NY/Rochester Edge), Katrina Hawkins (Fy., Powell River, BC/North Island Extreme), and Casey Morfeld (Jr., Union City, CA/San Jose Jr. Sharks) each recorded two shots.

The two teams will wrap up their weekend series tomorrow, Sunday, January 20. Game time is set for 1:00pm at the McKnight Hockey Center.
