Megan Buchanan (So., Ottawa, ONT/Rideau St. Lawrence) recorded 42 saves, but the Chatham University Ice Hockey team fell to ECAC-West opponent Elmira College 9-0 on Saturday. The Cougars fall to 1-11-0 (0-8-0 ECAC-West). The Nationally ranked Soaring Eagles improve to 15-1-1 (10-0-0 ECAC-West), holding their first place position in the ECAC-West Conference.

Casey Morfeld (Jr., Union City, PA/San Jose Jr. Sharks) and
Abby Maier (Sr., Cottage Grove, WI/Team Wisconsin) led with two shots, while
Marie Soukup (Fr., Lake Bluff, IL/Lake Forest) ,
Erika Bronk (FY., Fairport, NY/Rochester Edge) ,
Julia Hunter (Sr., Oxford Station, Ontario/Toronto Rattlers) ,
Maike Blakely (Jr., Kearney, NE/Williston Northampton) ,
Katrina Hawkins (Fy., Powell River, BC/North Island Extreme ) , and
Brittany Yoisten (So., Coldwater Ontario/Aurora Panthers) each contributed one shot.
Elmira earned their ninth shutout of the season as Soaring Eagle Lisa Marshall recorded ten saves.
The Cougars will return to action in a home match up against Cortland State on Saturday, January 19. Chatham will take the ice at 3:00 pm.
