GREENVILLE, PA- The Chatham Volleyball team (0-16, 0-10 PAC) lost 3-0 to both Westminster College (12-6, 6-3 PAC) and Thiel College (12-5, 7-1 PAC) in the tri-match at Thiel on Saturday afternoon.
“We didn't play our best in either match today,” said Head Coach
Marc Eberle. “Today's performances will serve as learning experiences for our team. We must play harder and more consistently as the season progresses.”
In the match against Westminster, the Cougars fell by scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-16. For the Cougars,
Mareija Bibbs (Jr., Chesapeake, VA/Peninsula Catholic) recorded seven kills.
Angelina Liberi (Jr., Mt. Lebanon, PA/Mt. Lebanon) added six kills and eight digs.
Julianne Speeney (Sr., Connellsville, PA/Geibel Catholic) also recorded eight digs and 13 assists.
Against Thiel the Cougars lost by scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-9.
Ally Ratliff (Sr., Johnstown, PA/Ferndale Area) and Liberi lead the team with three kills each. Ratliff and Speeney recorded seven digs each.
Maria Bagnato (Jr., Pittsburgh, PA/Vincentian Academy) contributed five digs.
The Cougars are on the road again Monday, October 1 against Carlow University. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm.
