Volleyball Falls to Grove City College 3-0

PITTSBURGH, PA- The Chatham Volleyball team lost in straight sets to Grove City College (5-4) on Thursday evening. The Cougars fell to 0-4 in the early season as they dropped the three sets by scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-10. Chatham started out strong in all three matches with multiple back and forth rallies, but never took the lead.

For the Cougars, Julianne Speeney (Sr., Connellsville, PA/Geibel Catholic) , Angelina Liberi (Jr., Mt. Lebanon, PA/Mt. Lebanon) , Erin Smith (So., Allison Park, PA/Shaler) , Ally Ratliff (Sr., Johnstown, PA/Ferndale Area) , and Mareija Bibbs (Jr., Chesapeake, VA/Peninsula Catholic) all recorded over ten digs. Bibbs had a team-high five kills while Liberi added four.

Next up, the Cougars are on the road for a tri-match against Bethany College (1:00 pm) and Waynesburg University (3:00 pm) at Waynesburg on September 15.
