PITTSBURGH, PA- The Chatham Volleyball team (0-21, 0-13 PAC) fell 3-0 to Thomas More College (17-4, 10-0 PAC) on Thursday night. The Cougars fought hard in all three sets, but couldn't find a hole in the Saints' defense. Chatham was defeated by scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-13.
“I was very proud of the effort we showed tonight,” said Head Coach
Marc Eberle. “We just came up a little short, but the effort was definitely there.”
For the Cougars,
Mareija Bibbs (Jr., Chesapeake, VA/Peninsula Catholic) recorded 11 kills and zero errors.
Erin Smith (So., Allison Park, PA/Shaler) added 14 digs.
Ally Ratliff (Sr., Johnstown, PA/Ferndale Area) contributed five kills and one ace.
Julianne Speeney (Sr., Connellsville, PA/Geibel Catholic) finished with 16 assists and eight digs.
Next up, the Cougars are on the road Saturday, October 13 for a tri-match against Grove City College (11:00 am) and Franciscan University (1:00 pm) at Grove City.
