Chatham Falls to Carlow in Cross-Town Match

PITTSBURGH, PA – Julianne Speeney (Sr., Connellsville, PA/Geibel Catholic) dished out 12 assists and Angelina Liberi (Jr., Mt. Lebanon, PA/Mt. Lebanon) nailed five kills, but the Chatham University volleyball team fell to host Carlow University 3-0 on Monday. Carlow won by scores on 25-13, 25-11, 25-9. The Celtics improve to 12-7 with the victory, while Chatham falls to 0-17.

Mareija Bibbs (Jr., Chesapeake, VA/Peninsula Catholic) helped out with four kills, and Ally Ratliff (Sr., Johnstown, PA/Ferndale Area) and Erin Smith (So., Allison Park, PA/Shaler) each had two kills. Smith and Maria Bagnato (Jr., Pittsburgh, PA/Vincentian Academy) each recorded a team-high eight digs.

Bibbs had a team-high two blocks (one solo, one assisted), while Speeney added six digs.

The Cougars are back in action Wednesday, October 3, when they host Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Saint Vincent College at 7:00pm.
