Conlan Burd

Conlan Burd enters his second season with Chatham in 2026-27. In his first season, Burd led the Cougars women's team to an 11th placed finish at the PAC Indoor Championships and both the men's and women's teams finished 12th at the PAC Outdoor Championships.

Prior to Chatham, Burd was most recently the Assistant Track & Field Coach at Grove City College In two seasons at Grove City, he coached the Men’s & Women’s teams to 6 conference championships. He also had 3 National All-Americans. Burd coached a plethora of school records. Notably Alex Mitchell who is the reigning conference champion in the 400m.

Burd was also a Graduate Assistant Coach at Eastern University in the fall of 2023 before arriving at Grove City, where he assisted in recruiting, Sprints Practice. With Burd’s brief time there they broke a school record in the first meet of the season

Conlan Burd’s coaching career began at Southeastern Community College (IA), he was there from 2021-2023. He was the Coach of Sprints/Hurdles and Relays. Under Burd’s guidance, he accumulated over 30 Academic All-Region athletes, and 3 National Qualifiers. Additionally, the Sprints/Hurdles Crew broke over 9 school records under Burd’s Leadership.
 
Conlan Burd is a 2021 Graduate of Thiel College, where he ran Track & Field all four years. A team Captain for the 2020-2021 school year. And, Second Team All-PAC recognition for the 4x400m relay. He also ranks top 10 all-time on the record book for Thiel College Track & Field. Burd graduated with a degree in Media Communications.
